Is Stress a reason for my Infertility?

Yes, any stress (physical or mental) can interfere with your conception. This is because stress interferes with the functioning of a gland in the brain named hypothalamus which regulates the hormones that act on the ovaries to release the eggs. So, if the female is stressed due to any reason, she will either ovulate late in her cycle or not ovulate at all. And this will lead to difficulty in conceiving. In the male partner, stress can cause decrease in libido and even impotence
leading to problems in conceiving.
